Old books, new sketches

I struggle with the white, empty page starring back at me... there is no story there yet...

Luckily old books provide me with a starting point, a story, an idea, a smell, the texture of the old page, a scribble at the bottom of a page, a handwritten name or dedication on the inside of the book cover:"To Jessie, on your 7th birthday 14.5.1967. Love mum"...  People even used to write their phone number into books, can you believe it?

I love it.
